Christian Education
Montmorency Chapel provides accredited volunteers who teach Christian Education in the Montmorency Primary School. Christian Education is a 30 minute weekly program organized by ACCESS Ministries* for primary school students in Victoria.
The Victorian Education Act makes provision for children to receive Christian Education as a normal part of their schooling.
The CRE curriculum, developed by ACCESS Ministries, complements the State School Curriculum and is student focused, educationally sound, Biblically faithful, theologically clear and contextually appropriate. It gives students the opportunity to explore Christian beliefs and values which provide strong foundations for life.
*ACCESS Ministries is an inter-church body which provides Christian Education and Chaplaincy in State Schools in Victoria under the provision of the Education Act 1958 (revised 1998) It provides this service in partnership with Christian Churches. To support these activities ACCESS Ministries publishes teaching resources and training for CRE teachers and Chaplains.
Montmorency Chapel is also supportive of the Chaplaincy Program in the Montmorency Primary School.
Student Focus
A fun lunchtime outreach program for Yrs 7-9 at Montmorency Secondary College run in conjuction with Youth Dimension*. It is primarily a games based programwhere students can feel free to come and enjoy their time at school in a safe environment. During the program there is a short talk relating to relevant life issues that youth today experience as well as sharing God's love with them and how that can relate to them right now where they are at in their lives.

"Were St" in the main Rd in Montmorency.
Bi– monthly from September through March, we head down and set up an area where the children in the area can watch some puppet shows, hang around, get some balloons, and enjoy themselves.
It is a place where we can share what we do, and invite not only the children, but their families to join us at Monty Chapel.
